Please join us in warmly welcoming Shona Best to the RHC team. Shona joins RHC as Engagement Officer and will be working with schools and the wider community to have a positive impact on the people and places in the Holme Valley.
Shona says “I’m delighted to start as Engagement Officer at River Holme Connections. I have lived in the Holme Valley since 2011 and it’s a place I adore! I have two children at local schools who have grown up playing at Sands, going for walks in Magdale, and fetching cricket and footballs out of the river and therefore the River Holme has always been part of our family’s life. I have 18 years experience as a Geography teacher, teaching at local high schools and colleges and so I have always been passionate about engaging and educating people about the natural environment. However, in this role, I am looking forward to spending more time out of the classroom and in our beautiful countryside. I’m also excited to be working with the wider community and have a positive impact on the people and places in the Holme Valley.”
