Please join us in warmly welcoming our three new River Holme Connections Trustees Andy, Tom & Trevor.

Andy Oddie

I live in Kirkburton with my wife, two teenage sons and Charlie our Golden Retriever. I started my introduction to River Holme in February on a cold and windy day on top of a hill in Meltham welcomed by Sue, Ffion, Kayleigh and others, and was chucked in the deep end planting a hedge row. Since February I have volunteered as much as I can and got to know the volunteers and the team based in the office, recently I have tried my hand at Himalayan Balsam Bashing. The thing that has struck me the most is the commitment and passion shown by all I have met which has really inspired me! As Michelle said at a recent event it feels like one big family????. I work in Manchester for Network Rail and worked in the Railways for over 38 years and aiming to retire in the next 5 years. I am an experienced Project Management Professional and apart from the Volunteering I am supporting RHC as we move forward with Natures Holme and other really exciting Projects.
