Tributree
From its source on the moorlands above Holmfirth, the River Holme and its tributaries flow north, meandering through some of Yorkshire’s most captivating landscapes before joining the River Colne, at Aspley near Huddersfield town centre.
This festive period we are paying tribute to the River Holme and its tributaries. There are lots of tributaries in our catchment area and we are showcasing some of them in our Christmas Tributree!

A tributary is a freshwater stream that feeds into a larger stream, river or other body of water.

Starting from Lockwood in the centre of Huddersfield, working its way up to the top of the catchment above Holmfirth, the River Holme and some of its tributaries are included to give you a snapshot of these special places with some festive surprises along the way! Each day throughout December, a new Christmas bauble will be revealed for you to click on and a surprise will be waiting!
