The third Saturday task in November will be held on Saturday 16th, from 10am to 12 noon at Honley Old Woods (Off Knowle Lane, Near Meltham Mills).
We will be carrying out woodland thinning work, to allow the species rich grassland to thrive on this site.
The meeting point will be in the Honley Old Woods car park, we will then walk through the woods to the work site together. Parking is limited, so if you are unable to get a spot in the actual car park, there is usually space in the layby on the road above the woodland.
Please bring your own refreshments and gloves (if possible), and wear stout boots or wellies. As we will be working in the woodland, long sleeves and trousers are recommended to avoid any scratches from branches and brambles.
Everyone is welcome (whether you’ve never volunteered before or are a regular volunteer)!
All the equipment and training support is provided.
