Our third Saturday work task will be held on the 17th of August from 10am to 12noon @ Carter Fold (by Thick Hollins Road, Meltham).
We will be in the woodland removing and collecting old tree tubes for recycling.
There will be a short walk to site from the meeting point at 10am, so please arrive in good time to avoid missing the group.
There is limited parking available on Netherthong Road, so car sharing is advised. Alternatively you can find parking in the nearby village of Meltham which is a short walk away. Do not park on Thick Hollins Road.
Please bring your own refreshments and gloves (if possible), wear stout boots or wellies, and dress appropriately for the weather. As we will be in the woods removing and collecting guards long sleeves and trousers may be beneficial to avoid any scratches from branches or understory vegetation.
Everyone is welcome (whether you`ve never volunteered before or are a regular volunteer)! All the equipment and training support is provided.
