Laurence Rose is a conservationist and writer based near Holmfirth. His latest book, Framing Nature – conservation and culture was published in the Autumn and he is already planning his next one. This talk bridges the two: the stories of the species that inspired his research into the cultural aspects of conservation, brought together in Framing Nature; and some early thoughts about his next work which explores the connections between land, sea, wildlife and people.
