Cheesegate Nab-exploring the local history and catchment area

We will meet in the yard on Hepworth Road, Jackson Bridge, 50m south of the bus stop which is Hepworth Road East Street Jackson Bridge.
Parking would have to be on the roadside.
Currently the 310 bus stops by the White Horse pub at 9.44am.

Join us for a 5km walk to Cheese Gate Nab with experienced walker Chris Abell. We’ll ascend about 200m to take in the breathtaking views of Holme Moss, the River Don catchment and across Huddersfield. As well as the spectacular scenery we’ll also learn some local industrial history, see a folly and hope to spot some migratory birds.

Please note: this walk is not appropriate for people with mobility issues or for pushchairs due to the steep climb, rough terrain and busy road crossings. For these reasons, a maximum of 15 people can be accommodated on this walk.  Booking is essential via this link.

Please wear suitable waterproof clothing and footwear for this walk.  It can be colder on the hill than in the valley.
