Join us at Holme Valley Holme Valley Caravan and Camping Park for an exciting evening – a Bat Walk and Talk! Explore the fascinating world of bats with a local wildlife artist and bat expert, Joanne Kell, as we venture into the night with bat detectors to observe these amazing creatures in their natural habitat. Learn about the different species of bats that call this area home and discover why they are so important to our ecosystem. This in-person event is perfect for nature enthusiasts of all ages. Children under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Please meet outside the reception at Holme Valley Holme Valley Caravan and Camping Park at 8:15pm ready to start the walk at 8:30pm. We’ve put 10:15pm as the end time, but there is a chance we may run over as there may be an opportunity to hear and see Daubentons bats, which come out a little later at night.
It might get chilly, so a warm coat and sturdy footwear are essential. PLEASE bring your own torch as it will be dark.
Booking is essential but the event is FREE to all thanks to generous funding from Holme Valley Parish Council.
