Removing tree guards at Carter Plantation Farm
Everyone is very welcome to join us for this volunteer task at Carter Plantation Farm. Whether you’ve volunteered with us many times before or are thinking about having a try for the first time, please just come along!
We’ll be removing plastic tree guards (spirals) from a hedge at Carter Plantation Farm, ready for recycling. We will be working in the hedge which includes thorny plants like hawthorn, blackthorn and dog rose. Long sleeves and long trousers are highly recommended so you don’t get nettled and you’ve got some protection from thorns!
Please bring along gloves and eye protection if you have any, wear sturdy footwear and dress appropriately for the weather.
Please remember to bring your own refreshments for the break. You may need to climb over fences for this task.
Everyone welcome! All training will be provided so no experience is necessary.
