If you want to meet new people and help your local environment, then join in our latest volunteering event.

We’re cleaning up the river at Sands Recreation Ground in Holmfirth. We’ll also be ‘balsam bashing’ to remove the non-native Himalayan balsam that’s taking over parts of the riverbank and pushing out native plant species.

We’ll provide equipment including gloves and litter pickers, but wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear. And if the sun is out, remember your sun cream!
